ALASI 2018

ALASI is the main forum in Australia for the exchange of knowledge, innovation, and experiences in the area of learning analytics. The event offers a great opportunity to learn about analytics in education, showcase your activities and benchmark results through exposure to the thinking, experiences and feedback of other practitioners and researchers in the field.

e-Exam Symposium 2018

The full day e-Exam Symposium will run at Monash University Caulfield campus on Saturday 24th November 2018. A range of e-Exams issues will be discussed including a business case for authentic e-exams, the pedagogy of authentic e-exams, student’s perspectives and experiences of doing e-exams, policy and equity dimensions, the logistics and the technology of enabling authentic e-exams.

Program highlights:

Two international guest keynote speakers:

  • Head of e-Learning Service at Alpen-Adria University, Klagenfurt, Austria, a university with 40% uptake of e-exams.
  • Senior specialist in e-exams at the national Matriculation Examinations Board of Finland speaking about the roll out of their national e-exams project.

Professor Geoff Crisp, PVC(E) UNSW will chair the proceedings – Geoff is well known for his work on e-Assessment.

Project team members will also discuss to differing issues and share their experiences of running e-Exams within various institutional contexts. Plus we will explore a ‘robust’ online e-exams approach developed by project team members
